Closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage has exposed the moment a man, posing as a patient, allegedly stole a staff member’s phone at Blue Gloves Hospital, 4 Lanes, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The incident occurred on August 30 and was first shared online by Facebook influencer, Oga Yenne.
According to reports, the staff had only purchased the phone weeks earlier, on August 4. The suspect reportedly arrived at the hospital, filled out a patient form, and waited in the reception area.
While staff were unaware of his intentions, he quietly unplugged the phone from its charging point and walked away.

Frustrated by the lack of progress, the staff shared the suspect’s information online, calling on people to help her identify the suspect.
Many people weighed in, with some insisting that the hospital should have a personnel to actively monitor CCTV footage rather than relying on recorded reviews only.
