The Nigeria Police Force has launched a nationwide search after one of its official vehicles according to a report by SaharaReporters, was allegedly stolen from Force Headquarters, Abuja.

The missing vehicle, a Toyota Buffalo Land Cruiser with registration number NPF 5594 D and chassis number JTELU71JX0B027126, was attached to the Department of Operations at Louis Edet House. It was reported missing on July 28, 2025, after being removed from the official parking lot.

An internal police signal, relayed by the Commissioner of Police (DFA, Katsina Command), confirmed the disappearance and directed all area commands, divisions, and formations across the country to be on alert.

“The case is under investigation. Commands and divisions are advised to disseminate this information for possible recovery,” the message read, stressing that the matter should be treated as “very important.”

Authorities have urged officers nationwide to report any sightings or leads that could help track down the stolen vehicle.
