A Nigerian lady has sparked heated debate on social media after declaring in a viral video that every man owes women money.
In the clip, she likened her stance to reparations, arguing that men have benefited for years from systems that deprived women of opportunities and equality.
“As a woman, any man you meet automatically owe you money. You see the way Black Americans are fighting for the reparation of their stolen lands, and how they’re fighting that America owe Black people? That’s how a man owe you,” she said emphatically.

Why, according to her, is the years and years of systemic oppression, deprivation from work, good health care, position of power, which men took away from the women. “If I meet any man right now, you owe me money,” she said.
She dismissed the popular idea of couples splitting bills equally, claiming the so-called “50–50” approach was never a feminist principle but a media-driven trend. According to her, true feminism calls for accountability and restitution, not equal sharing in relationships.
The lady also addressed broader feminist issues, defending the inclusion of sex workers and trans women in the movement, and questioned why they are often sidelined.
Her comments have divided opinions online, with some seeing with her reasons, while others accused her of making extreme claims.
