Nigerian social critic, Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has accused Pastor Nonso Okafor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Turkey of defrauding a church member and orchestrating his deportation.
In a viral video, VeryDarkMan alleged that the victim, who was based in Turkey, partnered with Pastor Okafor to ship imported doors to Nigeria.
According to their agreement, both parties were to split the shipping costs. The victim reportedly paid over ₦12 million, expecting his goods to be delivered to Nigeria.

However, months later, neither the goods nor a refund was provided. When the man confronted the pastor, Okafor allegedly reported him to Turkish authorities. Using his knowledge of the language, he allegedly influenced the situation, which led to the victim’s deportation back to Nigeria.
VeryDarkMan condemned the act, describing it as heartless and disgraceful, particularly coming from someone parading as a man of God. He further pleaded with Pastor Okafor to release the victim’s container so the man could rebuild his life, noting that it has been nearly three years since the incident.
The revelation has sparked outrage online, with many Nigerians expressing shock and disappointment that a pastor could allegedly exploit his position of trust to ruin another man’s livelihood.
