What began as an unsolicited birthday message in her DMs has turned into a real-life love story for X-user Erica Kachi, who recently revealed how she ended up marrying a complete stranger she once blocked online.
In a viral thread, Erica shared that on her birthday, a man she didn’t know slid into her DMs with the bold message: “Happy Birthday Erica… I don’t know you, but you’re my wife.” Irritated, she immediately blocked him.
But as fate would have it, that wasn’t the end. Erica explained that the man, who at first seemed random and unserious, showed a level of consistency and patience she had never encountered before. He kept reaching out, even opening another account to reconnect with her.

“He stayed consistent, patient, gentle,” she wrote, recalling how he once told her about a “quantum loop” where, in every reality, she was already his wife. Though she initially found it strange and even left Twitter for a while, he somehow never left her life.
One year later, Erica said yes to the same man she had once dismissed. Sharing photos of herself in a white dress with her wedding ring, she described him as her “person, peace, and husband.”

To those asking how it all happened, she said, simply, “I found his persistence attractive.”

Her story has sparked reactions and debates online.
