Suspended Senator for Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has warned that she will head to court if she is blocked from resuming plenary at the National Assembly on Monday.
In a letter dated September 10, 2025, and signed by her counsel, Chief Michael Numa (SAN), Natasha accused the Clerk of the National Assembly, Kamorudeen Ogunlana, of defying a valid court order that directed her reinstatement.
The letter stated that any attempt to stop her from taking her seat would amount to contempt of court.

“Failure to comply by Monday, 15th September 2025, will leave us with no alternative but to initiate proceedings against you personally and in your official capacity,” the warning read in part.
Natasha, who insists her suspension was politically motivated, argued that disobedience of judicial orders violates the Constitution and undermines the rule of law.
She cautioned that further obstruction could trigger unrest while urging the Clerk to comply with existing court rulings.
