Kanyeyachukwu Tagbo-Okeke, a 15-year-old boy from Anambra State, has been awarded the prestigious Guinness World Record (GWR) for the largest painting in the world.
Kanye, who lives in Abuja with his parents, suffers from an autistic disorder yet showed the world that challenges cannot be a limit to what one can achieve.
His art canvas, which was unveiled at the Eagle’s Square in Abuja on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, to mark the 2025 World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD), measures an astonishing 12,303 square meters.
The size of the canvas is more than twice the size of a football field, surpassing the previous record holder by 3000 square meters.

Kanyeyachukwu received his GWR certificate on the day of the event. He named the artwork “Impossibility is a Myth,” which, according to his father, Mr. Tagbo Okeke, reflects the challenges they faced while creating such a large-scale painting.
Present at the event were several dignitaries, including 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party Peter Obi; Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy Hannatu Musawa; Sen. Victor Umeh, representing Anambra Central Senatorial District; UNICEF’s Cristian Munduate, representing the UN Resident Coordinator in Nigeria, Dr. Mohamed Fall; and Head of Retail at MTN Nigeria Chikaodi Ofoegbu.
The dignitaries lauded the boy for such an achievement despite his disability, while encouraging the government to invest in education and autistic children.
Congratulations have been flooding in for Kanyeyachukwu; even the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, sent his congratulations. The Anambra State Governor’s wife, Mrs. Soludo, also sent her congratulations, among others.
