The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has recorded a major success in the fight against terrorism with a precision Air Interdiction (AI) mission carried out on 14 December 2025 at Dabar Masara — a known terrorist stronghold in the Southern Tumbuns.
Acting on credible intelligence pointing to a terrorist workshop and consistent movement of armed elements, the Air Component of Joint Task Force Operation HADIN KAI deployed an integrated force package.
The team conducted coordinated intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) missions alongside strike operations, with prior surveillance revealing repeated terrorist activity and a large concentration of vehicles hidden under vegetation — confirming the site as an active logistics hub. On the day of the operation, fresh surveillance validated the earlier findings, with terrorists seen moving within the location and around the identified vehicles.
After positive identification and strict compliance with Rules of Engagement, the targets were engaged. Post-operation Battle Damage Assessment confirmed that all concealed vehicles were destroyed and terrorist elements at the hub were neutralised.
The mission highlights the NAF’s unwavering commitment to intelligence-led, precise air operations that support national efforts to degrade terrorist networks and strengthen security in affected regions.
